The Madeira Wine Scholar online course is designed for wine students, sommeliers, professionals, and enthusiasts. The program explores the main Madeira wine styles, the production area, and winemaking techniques, and offers a structured approach to tasting, including blind tasting.

You can purchase the course without samples. In this case, we encourage you to source the indicated samples independently, available in your market.

How it works

1. After purchasing the course, you will have access to the online content, including recorded webinars, additional videos, slides, and quizzes. Once logged in, please ensure you are on the English page of the website to view it correctly.
2. The Tasting Pack and shipping costs are included in the price. Wines will be shipped after purchase. Full-sized bottles are available on request.
3. Your free 30-minute Q&A session with your educator can be scheduled on the Private Coaching page. You’ll receive the link to the next live webinar, which will also be available in the webinar lesson; it will be recorded and shared via email.
4. Once you complete the course, you will be able to take the online exam, which consists of a 30-question multiple-choice test and can be scheduled any time within 12 months of purchase. To obtain the certification, you must answer 80% of the questions correctly in 45 minutes, with ten attempts. Qualifying candidates (minimum 80% correct answers) will receive a digital certificate.
